WHY WE CELEBRATE DIWALI:-
We celebrate Diwali because it remarks the homecoming of Lord Shri.Ram with wife Sita and younger brother Laxman to their kingdom Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.Lord Ram left his home for Vanvas with wife and brother, following father’s command, spend 14 years living in forests of India.Towards the end of exile, Sita was abducted by Lanka King Ravana who disguises himself as a yogi and asks Sita for bhiksha, while handling bhiksha to Ravana, she crossed Laxman Rekha drawn by Laxman. Ravana captured her after she crossed Laxman Rekha. After hearing that, Ram decided to bring Sita back and then reached to fight with the army of Ravana. Ram got the victory in that epic battle. This battle symbolizes the Victor of good over evil. While returning to his homeland Ayodhya, the whole city was lit with lightning diyas and decorated with beautiful flowers and colorful rangolis.Since then, Diwali has been celebrated every year as the festival of lights.
